Salesperson and Product Educator at Five Flavors Herbs

Reports to: CEO, Manufacturing Manager, Operations Director. 24-40 hours/week. This opportunity is for a seasoned sales professional who values the world of natural medicine and healing. The individual will gain a comprehensive understanding of our broad scope of offerings and accelerate our sales of FFH products to practitioners and retailers. Daily operations include targeted outreach to potential and existing customers, utilizing a CRM database, offering product and software trainings, and working collaboratively with our sales & marketing team.

Sales

Provide excellent customer service to all current and acquired accounts to support them in growing. Primary audience includes practitioners (acupuncturists, naturopaths, integrative physicians, herbalists) including our Conceivable ProLine customers, and retail stores. Will also interface with other potential custom wholesale/contract manufacturing customers during sales events and in general outreach. Master our inventory and offer knowledge to prepare customers for placing orders and moving their account along to the appropriate department. Primary area of sales will be FFH finished products (including our proprietary tincture line, TCM liquid extracts, Conceivable ProLine, single herb tinctures) as well as promoting the custom herbal pharmacy to practitioners. Will also need to understand the scope of our bulk tincture and custom wholesale offerings to direct to the appropriate team. For practitioner customer support, will need to understand basic pharmacy policies and operations, including basic skills in Dispensary Tree (Lilysoft) software and orienting customers to registering & using the software. Triage new accounts for our private labeling and contract manufacturing services and provided warm handoffs to the custom manufacturing team for these potential contracts. Work in close communication with the contract/wholesale accounts coordinator to serve the diverse needs of our clients. Become fully comprehensive in our webstore and support finished product customers by utilizing that platform. Provide reports and document growth analysis of our customers bases and use data- driven methods for engaging outreach techniques. Survey customers to dialogue about inventory refinement and communicate that with the leadership team.

Outreach and Product Education

Become an expert in our products and our unique offerings in the context of our competitors in the natural product industry. Participate in relevant trade shows and other events as a sales representative for FFH. Travel to retail stores and clinics to provide in-person trainings (frequency TBD). Collaborate with Marketing Coordinator and department leaders to keep order sheets, FAQ’s and other copy for client ordering guidelines up to date.

Training/Experience/Skills Required

A minimum of 2 years of sales including use of CRM software. Ability to analyze data, understand trends, and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis. Willing to travel to conferences and other events on a quarterly basis for 2-3 days. Highly proficient Microsoft Office and GSuite skills and can easily learn other software such as inventory management systems.

Preferred

Experience in selling natural products and supplements. Comprehension in herbal extraction processes and/or phytochemistry. Understanding of current FDA GMP regulations. Familiarity with botanical nomenclature and identification. Knowledge of Chinese and Western Herbs.
