Contract & Wholesale Accounts Associate at Five Flavors Herbs

Reports to: CEO & Operations Director. 32-40 hours/week. This opportunity is for a motivated individual who values the world of natural medicine and healing. This position will accelerate sales in our wholesale division through targeted outreach to potential and existing customers for sales of bulk ingredients, contract manufacturing, and white label products. This position will negotiate custom manufacturing and bulk ingredient contracts, and work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure timely fulfillment and exceptional customer communications.

Marketing and Campaign Strategy Support

Support the Marketing team with initiatives by working in commerce logistics for campaigns, media material development and direct contact with customers to ensure they are comprehensive on all their opportunities to work with us. Collaborate with team to keep order sheets, FAQ’s and other copy for client ordering guidelines up to date. Survey customers to dialogue about inventory refinement.

Training/Experience/Skills Required

A minimum of 3 years of sales using a digital platform BtoB and BtoC sales. A proven track record of growing customer accounts with at least 3 years experience in Accounts Management. Ability to analyze data, understand trends, and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis.
Highly proficient Microsoft Office and GSuite skills, and capable of quickly mastering new software programs such as CRM and inventory management.
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Willing to travel to conferences and events on a quarterly basis.

Preferred

Experience in selling natural products and supplements. Comprehension in herbal extraction processes and/or phytochemistry. Experience with sales and marketing copywriting including email campaigns. Understanding of current FDA GMP regulations. Familiarity with botanical nomenclature and identification.  Knowledge of Chinese and Western Herbs.

Become an expert in our products and our unique offerings in the context of our competitors in the natural product industry. Assess and perform outreach to new and potential customer contacts for our private labeling, contract manufacturing, custom wholesale, and bulk ingredient sales. Build and maintain an active pipeline of current and potential clients using a CRM database. Understand the processes for selling finished product (ie website or via Sales Rep) but know when and how to expand to contract manufacturing and custom wholesale sales and build these relationships. Drive orders and sales/ marketing initiatives to achieve and exceed sales goals of custom and wholesale offerings. Receive and process all custom, white label and bulk wholesale orders; input pick reports and process final outgoing invoices. Track project progress both by maintaining regular communication with the Manufacturing Manager and using our inventory management system to track product movement to create realistic and comprehensive timelines for our customers. Provide excellent customer service to all current and acquired accounts to support them in growing. Collaborate with Bookkeeper and CFO to ensure AR are accurate and up to date for easily accessible customer statements. Be conversant in FFH Pharmacy and orient potential customers to the appropriate educational materials and resources for adoption. Know when to delegate these potential customer relationships to the Sales Rep.
