We have modified the TCM formula Chai Hu Jia Long Gu Mu Li Tang with California Poppy, Milky Oats, Western Pasque Flower, and Skullcap. Both Skullcap and California Poppy clear heat from the Heart and Liver and are suitable for excess or deficiency syndromes. Both herbs resolve stagnation of the Liver-Gallbladder and may be useful for patterns involving preoccupation and nervousness. Milky oats are used traditionally to nourish the nervous system, while Western Pasque Flower is rapidly settling and grounding.*

Suggested use: 2 mL 2-3 times daily in water, or as directed. Shake well before using.

Ingredients: Organic California Poppy whole plant, Fresh Organic Milky Oat seed, Fresh Western Pasque Flower [Anemone occidentalis] whole plant, Fresh Organic Skullcap aerial parts, Organic Bupleurum root [Chai Hu], Dragon Bone [Long Gu], Jujube fruit [Da Zao], Organic Fresh Ginger rhizome [Sheng Jiang], Organic Asian Ginseng root [Ren Shen], Organic Poria sclerotium [Fu Ling], Organic Chinese Skullcap root [Huang Qin], Oyster shell [Mu Li]*, Cinnamon twig [Gui Zhi], Organic Pinellia rhizome [Ban Xia Fa]. *Contains Shellfish. Other Ingredients: Cane Alcohol, Distilled Water.

Process: Our Liquid Concentrates combine traditional technique with modern extraction methods. First, we mix the herbs according to traditional recipe. Then we decoct the batch in pure water, and finally add alcohol, which pulls out medicinal compounds over a month period. The herb to menstruum ratio is 1:3, nearly twice that of standard tincture.
